Motorcycle Wheel Engraving

Everyday we think of ways to push the envelope with Harley-Davidson motorcycle wheel customization and wheel manufacturing. The trick is to do it in good taste. For those with a taste for good engraving, have a closer look at this customization done to one of our Fat 50's. There is nothing standard about this piece. Since these Fat Daddy wheels do so well with customization, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. We'd love to see more of it done to this level. Let us know if you want crazy engraving to your custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle wheel, or any other motorcycle you have.

This one was a tall order too, but we pulled it off. Without out doubt, this will turn heads. This paisley pattern was artistically translated to CAD by one of our talented operators (CAD artist), then put into motion by one of our talented machinists. This is no fire-and-forget job. Because of the detail and angles, it had to come out of the machine many times to get this effect.

These two wheels are just samples on how far we can take the art of wheel smithing.

We call it the “New” Ridewright because in 2012 we hit a milestone, a turning point, a self-realization -  if you will. We stopped for once and took an introspective look at ourselves. As we also observed the market around us, we grew proud as we drew conclusions. Here’s why:

We have an quite the efficient operation going. Right here in Anaheim, CA we have about a dozen CNC machines producing our wheels, including powder coating and painting. This allows us to perfect the wheel-making process...every day. It makes us better and better with the process, challenges and goals so we can truly get creative. We are poised to be the masters of the craft, and it shows..

OUR NATURE

In addition, the passion and experience of the riders who work here manifest clearly in our product and in our nature. At Ridewright, you’ll see Harley-Davidson motorcycles throughout the landscape like Road King, Softail, Dyna and even Sportster models waiting to get laced up...including more and more H-D trikes. This passion not only manifests in styling and quality, but also in service and speed. We enjoy a customer empathy and enthusiasm that can only come from having strictly chosen technicians who live immersed in the motorcycle experience, while following the profound heritage of U.S. manufacturing excellence. This is a massive part of our winning formula that Sam the founder mapped out so better wheels can get to the customer faster. We are very fortunate. You’ll feel the vigor in the exciting complete custom jobs that we love to do. Ridewright is a best kept secret that is slowly being unveiled. 

CONTROL

The result of mastering our own operation is the ability to experiment, develop and improve our designs and output. This model is very different than one of merely taking an incoming CNC job order from any given industry just for the money and returning it back to the customer. Distraction from other types of products, lack of optimization and less affection are all in the dynamics of sourcing out-of-industry, or worse: out-of-country. With all due respect, we actually have been a source for many well-known and successful motorcycle industry brands for years. This is another one of our little-known secrets. Fortunately, they are using Ridewright facilities so the care and quality are innate in their products too. If their manufacturing were left to non-dedicated motorcycle component machinists, we’d question the value. The results of our dedication, learning and calculated experimentation generate excellent product such as our celebrated spoke wheel system that is not only incredibly solid, but highly compatible with more bikes than any other spoke wheel. This means we get to say, “yes, we have something that fits” way more than anybody else. We also get to say the we are one of the finest wheel manufactures and the premiere spoke wheel company. We also like to say that we most-certainly do reinvent the wheel as part of the business. In fact, we turn to our customers to help us do it with us as well.

In our reflective deep-dive we summed up our existence as a simple, solid and boundless entity. These are truly American qualities too. Also, our personalities have nothing to prove when our product is so durable, so we tend to act down-to-earth and without flaunt. Solid: Yes, our product is durable. You can turn to us for anything related to motorcycle wheels. We have your back. In this, we are solid. Boundless: We are masters of our craft. Our expertise, experience and can-do attitude gives us the confidence to execute any wheel project better than anybody. This positivity feels as endless as our ability to customize freely and provide maximum fitment options. The sense of freedom of a simple motor and two wheels inspires our world as well. SELF-EXPRESSION

The new logo is just a small hint of the new Ridewright. Here in 2012 we embraced our self-discovery and decided to recreate our art and creative around ourselves - and not what everyone else is doing. You’ll see the new expression in all of our marketing. We feel it is our duty to ourselves. We love this place and our chosen product.

PRIDE

As you can tell, though we are understated and lacking bad attitude, we are a proud company. We dedicate this page to our customers who we wish to transfer so much of this pride to. You deserve it. MHE's: Modular Hub Ends

Because of the broad array of options between Ridewright rims and spokes, the need for so many hub configurations (the interface between custom wheel and customer bike) became enormous. The solution was simple and a system was born.

Ridewright Modular Hub Ends (MHE) for spoke wheels allow interchangeability between the three parts of this hub design; the left, the right and the center. Such an elegant simplicity is powerful in wheel engineering. This is because it opens up boundless configurations. Changing rotor, pulley or sprocket bolt patterns are only a matter of swapping out MHE’s. As long as there is clearance, this applies to changing out motorcycles too! Think how endless compatibility helps with resale, of the wheel or of the motorcycle (when you save the Ridewrights for the next bike). Just get new hub ends from Ridewright to make it fit again. Until now, this was unimaginable with spoke wheels. This ability is no longer the domain of billet mags.

 
This design is plenty strong as this design has been on the roads for a year after rigorous testing, with many happy riders delving into just as many wheel configurations. In addition, because of the tremendous interchangeability, turnaround for a custom wheel is quite fast at Ridewright’s in-house manufacturing facilities. Wheels are built to order and stockpiles of MHE’s stand by at the ready so they fit the customer bike no problem.

One-hub-fits-all-wheels means one-brand-fits-all-bikes; an industry first for spokes. This American ingenuity is classic Ridewright.
